My Experience as a Therapist
Since 1998 I have worked in various clinical settings including private practice, non-profit agencies and schools. In my practice I see individuals, couples, adolescents and children who wish to improve their life situation at school, work or home. In addition to my private practice I have served as a Clinical Supervisor and provided on-site training to Masters degree counseling interns at non-profit agencies in the county.
Eduction
- Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco
- Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley
Certifications
- I hold certification as a Critical Incident Stress Debriefer (CISD). When the need arises I provide on-site crisis counseling at companies and schools.
- I am also a registered Play Therapist – Supervisor (RPT-S), a certification given by the Association of Play Therapy (www.a4pt.org). Requirements for this certification include five years post Masters, 150 hours play therapy education and 5000 hours of clinical experience.
